A lot of people have contacted me and said that they’d love to start a blog themselves, but just don’t know how.
They’re not a “techy” or anything like that. And I understand. Neither was I.
Honestly a lot of what I’ve learned over the years has simply been trial and error. Just like learning to cook or anything else.
You just have to do.
So my plan is to host an all day event here in Houston.
It’ll be an eight hour event with an hour break for lunch and a meet and greet afterward.
Also, you’ll need to let me know if you have any specific requests when it comes to the menu; any foods you’re allergic to, or if you’re totally vegan.
So what’s included in the event?
The idea is to get someone that has never blogged or even started a website all the information and tools they’ll need in order to get started once you leave my event.
Now I know that’s a big statement, and it’s also why this will be an 8 hour gig.
There is a ton to cover. And it’s a lot of content.
I haven’t nailed down everything yet other than the venue. I’m looking to get booked for sometime in January 2017.
This way the holidays are over and people will most likely be looking to do their “New Year’s resolutions”.
It should be perfect timing!
But give me some feedback.
What is the number one thing holding you back from starting your own blog?
Are you interested in a Done for You option?
Do you learn best through video or book formats?
And please, if you can give me any additional information that would be really great!
Talk about an adventure!
Getting up and talking to an audience is going to be one of my biggest yet.
Even though I crave adventure and have done so many things like diving or skydiving, public speaking at an event makes my blood run cold.
But I’m committed. As I hope you are too in your commitment to starting your own blog.
As of right now I don’t have any recommendations as far as hotels or places to stay in Houston. I’ll look into this if people are going to be traveling here.
Otherwise, everything else will be all inclusive.
I’m really looking forward to some feedback! Let me know what you think. Is this event a good idea? Something you’d be interested in?
Leave me a comment below.
